Tanzania Institute of Project Management (TIPM) is a local Institution Registered and Accredited by National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with Reg. No REG/PWF/042

Background Information

The Institute has invested in Project Management products and services for more than Ten years now in Tanzania. The Institute is growing very fast and is becoming one of East Africa’s key players in providing Project Management Training, Consultancy and advisory services. With Ten years’ experience in the market, our services have attracted a number of stakeholders in the Public Sector, Private Sector as well as Civil Society Organizations. We are recognized as market leaders in providing Project Management products and services. Training activities:

We provide practical training designed to build capacity among project management practitioners to understand project management knowledge, skills, processes, tools and techniques and be able to apply them to project activities.

 

Through Tenstep, Tanzania Institute of Project Management  enjoys the distinguished Global REP (Registered Education Provider) status directly from the Project Management Institute USA with accreditation/ registration No 1774. The mission of Tanzania Institute of Project Management is to provide a proven, superior Project and Program Management services, tools, training and methodologies to enable our clients to achieve the business mission critical results.

 

Our accreditation as REP also gives us the right to present PMP(Project Management Professional) training courses and all related training courses that assist the trainee to prepare and lead up to obtaining the Project Management Certifications.

 

 

Consultancy services:

  1. Capacity Building and solution development: The objective of consultancy is to help project management of the client-system to improve the corporate performance by enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, costs reduction, and productivity improvement. Thus, bringing about improved efficiency, economy and effectiveness in project management is the central objective of consultancy services.

 

  1. Research and Development: The Institute is investing and collaborating with research based Institutions to use their findings for development purposes. The new knowledge gained helps TIPM to update its curriculum, develop new program and share with local and international project management stakeholders to improve future programs and projects. This places the Institute in a competitive edge in the world of project management training and consultancy.

 

  1. Civil Society Organizations; TIPM extends its services to respond to the needs of Local NGOs in Tanzania. Different studies regarding NGOs capacity have stated the need for assistance to enhance their capacity to implement development programmes by establishing effective management and administrative system. Areas of focus mentioned include but not limited to:
    1. Management training for key decision makers
    2. Roles and responsibilities for staff members
    3. Understanding stakeholders and their influence on development agenda

The training and human resource development activities will enable the NGOs to achieve what they have set out to in the first place. The process will also help them understand their strengths better and identify areas where they should concentrate most in establishing their priorities. By this, they would become effective, efficient, transparent, accountable and sustainable organizations.
